The C-3SS uses proven overlay design techniques developed by Force 12 for the most efficient multi-band Yagi possible. There are minimal parts and no traps, making the C-3SS a true multi-monoband Yagi.
The C-3SS is the same, basic design as the famous C-3S used by more and more amateurs for outstanding performance and used by DXpeditions the world over. To achieve a smaller size, the 20 meter elements on the C-3SS are shortened using pre-formed solid rod in the most efficient linear loading technique. The rotating radius is only 13.5'! We receive comments every week on the sparkling performance of the C-3SS.
The shorter 20 meter elements provide essentially the same gain as the full size elements, cover the whole band and actually has a slightly better F/B. The performance on 15 and 10 is the same as the C-3S, as the elements are full size. The C-3SS comes standardly rated for 100 mph.
The C-3SS comes in a 4' long box (8" x 10") and the finished product weighs only 27 pounds. Fast, simple assembly.
